Ms. Smith is a graduate student at the Annapolis Campus graduating in the summer of '20. She has been accepted to the prestigious Sotheby's Institute of Art master's degree program in Art Business. Art can capture a feeling or moment and hold the weight of within the borders of a canvas or on its stage. Artists like Frida Kahlo, Edvard Munch, Jean-Michel Basquiat put their personal pain on display within their artworks. This kind of expression creates an opportunity for recognition, conversation and potential transformation. But what happens when an artist responds to a moment of communal pain or trauma? EX is looking to examine art's multifaceted connection to times of crisis through brief vignettes of artists' exploration of war, inequality and epidemic.What do we stand for? Expression. Examination. Experience. What can you do? Excite. Excel. Exist.
