Summer term brings a new energy to the Graduate Institute in Santa Fe; Eastern Classics students are nearing the end of their program, preparing for an August graduation, and the summer Liberal Arts term is in full swing.
To help new students and returning students meet, and just generally create another space for graduate students and other community members to mingle during the summer months, the Graduate Institute office has instituted a new tradition: afternoon tea! They’ll be hosting a “Low Tea” (tea served in the mid-afternoon, between lunch and dinner) on Tuesday each week this summer.
The office served up a samovar of tea, plenty of milk and sugar, biscuits, and delicious homemade tea sandwiches. It’s safe to say the event was a hit, and we’re looking forward to more throughout the summer!
