Graduate students in a preceptorial discussing Da Vinci’s Notebooks went to the National Gallery in Washington, DC to see works by the artist. The National Gallery’s library has facsimiles of most of the 6,000 surviving sheets of his notebooks; this group also saw the portrait of Ginevra de’ Benci, which is the only painting by Leonardo in the Americas.
