Congratulations to all of our new and returning graduate students!
This summer, students will be engaging with authors such as Plato, Locke, Marx, Euclid, Newton, Darwin, and Machiavelli. They will either be participating in our Politics & Society segment or our Mathematics & Natural Science segment. The question that often arises, though, is why do we call our divisions “segments” rather than “subjects”?
