Congratulations to the Graduates of 2022!

Graduation week was eventful this year with in-person and online events as well as final seminar readings and the graduation ceremony itself. This May 10 students graduated from the on-campus Master’s in Liberal Arts graduate program in Annapolis while 9 completed their degree online, 6 Annapolis students and 3 from Sante Fe.

There were two Associate Dean’s receptions to celebrate, the first for on-campus graduates. The in-person reception was held Monday evening May 9th, on the Library Patio, complete with hors d’oeuvres and champagne. Tutor, Mr. Petrich, and graduating student, Mr. Graney, gave the official toasts.

The low-residency reception was held two days later on Wednesday evening, May 11th. It included students from the Sante Fe and Annapolis Master’s in Liberal Arts programs. Tutor, Ms. Kronsberg, and graduating student, Mr. Flaherty, gave the virtual toasts.

Graduating students and faculty gathered in Annapolis on Saturday, May 14th, for a final capstone reading of the Meno and had a subsequent lunch, discussing the meaning of virtue and excellence. The Meno is the first text that students read before they start the program so it’s fitting to read it again at the end.

The weather was warm but too drizzly for a cookout or a game of bocce, but it did clear up enough the next day for the outdoor commencement, held on the lawn. Both undergraduate and graduate students walked across the stage to receive their diplomas.

Congratulations to all those who graduated and best of luck in your future endeavors!
